How do I pick the right telephone system?

You don't want to overstretch yourself initially but you want to ensure that you have sufficient expansion capability if you need it further down the road.

Some things to consider

What type of telephone lines will you have? Regular analogue lines or ISDN? How about ADSL for "always on" internet access?

Regular analogue lines are perfectly adequate for normal voice telephony.

ISDN lines can give you DDI (direct dial inwards), faster internet access and call transfer to another outside line (maybe your mobile or home number).

ADSL (or Broadband) bypasses your phone system and goes straight to your computer or computer network. With ADSL you are permanently connected to the Internet for a set monthly fee.
